高考專家指導(dǎo)：香港高校英語面試注意事項

　　今天給手機換了兩塊電池，此時此刻，繼續(xù)接電話和收短信，對于2012年高考，有很多東西想說的，因此，從即刻起，決定再次發(fā)博文闡述很多事情。今年高考給我的感覺總體上有點亂，很多家長打來電話的同時詢問港校面試應(yīng)該做哪些準備，我特意收集一些關(guān)于港校英語面試的材料，希望給明天面試的同學(xué)有一定的幫助。

　　關(guān)于時事熱點或者考查綜合知識的問題一般出現(xiàn)在中文面試環(huán)節(jié)，涉及面太廣而很難準備。但在自招生英語面試環(huán)節(jié)，考慮到高中生的英語基礎(chǔ)，面試老師提出的問題一般不會很難.都會讓高中生有話可說。英語面試環(huán)節(jié)不僅測試了考生的英語能力，包括語音、語調(diào)等基本方面，還測試語言組織能力和運用能力。很多考生認為一點不準備就進考場會心里沒底。即使面對這場無法準備的面試，為了讓自己心里踏實一點，更有自信地進考場，廣大考生也想準備點什么。針對上述需要，以下列舉了一些最常見的英語問題及其示范回答，好讓同學(xué)們對英語面試有個基本的了解。不要背誦這些具體答案，但要熟悉回答這些問題的方法和思路。同學(xué)們可以在課后做進一步的模擬練習(xí)，揣摩面談情境，學(xué)習(xí)一般會話，進而增加臨場信心。希望這一部分能夠為你增加面試信心，奠定成功基礎(chǔ)。

　　一、自我介紹.

　　例1:Could you introduce your!3elf briefly?(可以簡要介紹一下你自己嗎?)

　　What can you tell me about yourself?(能否告訴我們一些你自己的情況?)

　　How would you describe yourself?(你如何描述你自己?)

　　【思路點拔】

　　面試官可能會讓考生花一兩分鐘的時間來介紹一下自己。這些資料大多已在考生的履歷表及自傳中陳述過了，所以完全沒有必要大談個人歷史或獲獎情況。這里的問答主要是為了使之后的對話能夠順利繼續(xù)，最好在一兩分鐘內(nèi)簡潔地回答。面試老師是想通過考生的自我鑒定尋找有關(guān)其性格、資歷、志向和生活動力的線索。

　　Possible answer:

　　My name is Li Hua I was born and raised in Nanjing and I'm from Zhongshan Middle School. As you can see from my resume， I have a wide rang of interests and hobbies. I like sports; in high school， I was often involved in competitive sports and always tried to improve myself in each sport .I like playing tennis very much. 　　例2: Tell me something about your experiences in high school.

　　告訴我一些你中學(xué)生活的經(jīng)歷。

　　【思路點撥】

　　讓你談一些中學(xué)的生活經(jīng)歷。一方面可以分享你的故事，另一方面可以了解你的興趣愛好，了解你是否只是個書呆子，只知道學(xué)習(xí)。如果你的回答是每天從早到晚很辛苦地學(xué)習(xí)，那么就太失色了。

　　Possible answer：

　　Well， I was in the gymnastics club， so the first thing that comes to mind is those long， hard practices! I was captain of the club for one year， and trying to make the club better and stronger. That was really a good experience. I learned a lot from that.

　　我參加體操俱樂部，所以我最先想到的就是那時長期的苦練。我做了一年的隊長，努力使這個俱樂部辦得更好、更強，那實在是段很好的經(jīng)歷。我從中學(xué)到了很多東西。

　　例3: Was there anything you got really seriously involved in?

　　有沒有什么是你真正認真參與的?

　　可談自己感興趣的業(yè)余活動，以說明自己興趣廣泛。

　　Possible answer，

　　Yes， I am aware that the best time to travel is while I am a student， so I worked my way around the country during vacations， doing part- time jobs here and there. I met all sorts of different people and it was really a good experience. Of course， there were good parts and bad parts， but looking back I think it benefited me a lot and helped me grow up.

　　有，我意識到旅行的最好時光在學(xué)生時代，所以假期中我在各地工讀，到處兼職。我遇到各種各樣的人，那真是一段好經(jīng)歷。當(dāng)然，這樣有好有壞，但是回想起來，又覺得那使我獲益很多，并幫助我成長。

　　Well， I joined the judo club in the first year of my senior high school life.During the three years I guess I spelt more time and energy on judo than on anything else The practices were really hard， and I don't know how many times I thought about quitting. But Looking back on it， the memories are all good.During the practices1'd think， "Why am I doing this?" But afterwards I felt really good I made a lot of friends through the club activities， too.

　　噢，我在高中一年級時加人柔道社，我想三年來我在柔道社花的時間與精力，要比其他任何事情多。練習(xí)真的很辛苦，而且不曉得有多少次想放棄，但是回想起來，這些回憶都是好的。練習(xí)的時候我會想"我為什么要這樣?"但是過后我就感覺很棒。經(jīng)過社團的活動我還結(jié)交了很多朋友。

　　例4: What was your favourite subject?

　　你最喜歡的科目是什么?

　　談?wù)勀阆矚g的科目，這樣可以為你選擇自己心儀的專業(yè)埋下伏筆。如果只回答科目名好像過于簡短，沒有技術(shù)含量，建議考生可以順便說明一下喜歡的理由或者是獲獎情況，給老師留下一個更深刻的印象。

　　Possible answer，

　　World history. I like learning about how the world was changing before my birth. And I'm interested in the history and cultural background of each country， which helps me understand the news better.

　　世界史。我喜歡知道在我出生之前世界是怎么變化的。而且我對當(dāng)今世界各國歷史和文化背景很感興趣，這些會幫助我更好地了解新聞。

　　Mathematics. I like geometry in particular.I've liked maths ever since primary scho1， and then in senior high schoo1 I had an excellent teacher. His class was always interesting， and that made me like maths even more.

　　數(shù)學(xué)。我特別喜歡幾何。從小學(xué)起，我就喜歡數(shù)學(xué)。后來在高中我有一個很好的老師，他的課總是很有趣，那使我更喜歡數(shù)學(xué)了。

　　例5: Is there anything you regret not doing or would like to have done differently during high school?  

　　你在中學(xué)的時候有沒有后悔沒有做出什么事來，或是想濃以往做得不同?

　　如果讓你說一件令你比較遺憾的事情，可以講自己的一個真實故事，以情動人。但是有時可用一點小技巧，將劣勢轉(zhuǎn)為優(yōu)勢，比如你花了很多時間閱讀各種書籍，卻浪費了很多休息玩耍的時間，不能像其他的同齡人一樣有段美好的童年。這樣的一種回答讓人不得不刮目相看。

　　Possible answer:

　　I spent a lot of time on my studies， and got a good， solid ground in my studies， and that was good， I thinkι But I have to say probably it would have been better if I had gotten a little more involved in club activities.

　　我花很多時間學(xué)習(xí)，并在我的學(xué)習(xí)方面奠定了良好而扎實的基礎(chǔ)，這對我很有益處。但是我想說如果我多參加一點社團活動，或許會更好些。

　　I spent so much time on club activities during the three years一I didn't fail any of my classes, but looking back on it ,I think it would have been better to put more time and energy in studying.

　　三年來我在社團活動上花了很多時間，我并沒有為此而缺課，但是回想起來，我認為如果我多投入一點時間和精力來念書，可能會更好。

　　三、興趣與愛好

　　例6:What do you like to do in your spare time?業(yè)余時間你喜歡做什么?

　　What's your hobbies?你有什么愛好?

　　人們都喜歡興趣廣泛、在學(xué)習(xí)以外有興趣愛好、過著豐富多彩生活的學(xué)生。信不信由你，教育專家們也都認識到最好的學(xué)生并不是那種每天學(xué)習(xí)15個小時，每星期學(xué)習(xí)七天的人。大多數(shù)誠實的回答在這里都是可以接受的�；卮鹨欢ㄒ�包括戶外活動和團體活動。那些消遣活動僅是打電腦游戲和昕隨身昕的人會給人留下個性孤僻、不適合團隊合作和集體生活的印象。人們常常把有廣泛愛好的人，尤其是有不尋常愛好的人，看作多才多藝、興趣廣泛、有健康生活觀的人。這些都是被許多學(xué)校所看重的有吸引力的個人特征。那些能展示個人發(fā)展?jié)摿Φ膼酆米钣袃r值。

　　Possible answer，

　　I enjoy participating in and watching most sports. I discoveried￡，football in senior high schoo1 and found it a great way to relax and spend time with my friends. I was captain of our schoo1 team and I tried to keep that up as best as I could do. Through the activities I learned a great deal about the importance of teamwork I also enjoy playing basketball and tennis. Moreover， I like listening to music， watching movies and being around my friends.

　　我喜歡參加并觀看大多數(shù)的體育運動。在高中的時候我接觸了足球，發(fā)現(xiàn)它是一種放松及與朋友們在一起度過時光的好途徑。我曾是我們校隊的隊長井一直堅持做到最好。通過這些活動我充分了解了團隊合作的重要性。我還喜歡打籃球，還有網(wǎng)球。另外，我喜歡聽音樂、看電影，還有和朋友們在一起。

　　例7:  What kind of books do you like?

　　(你喜歡哪類書?)

　　What is the most impressive book you've read recently?

　　(你最近讀的給你印象最深刻的是什么書?)

　　這個問題不難，照實回答就行了。可以說你閱讀興趣廣泛，喜歡看很多書。列舉其中的那么幾本有印象的就行了。但是絕對不能說你壓根沒看過的書，因為要是在場的面試官正好跟你再討論一下其中的故事情節(jié)或者人物，你就會露出馬腳了。

　　Possible answer，

　　I like mysteries very much - I like to try to figure out "who did it" before the author explains everything. My favourite character is Hercule Poirot in the Agatha Christie mysteries.I've read all of those.

　　我非常喜歡偵探小說一一在作者解釋每一件事之前，我喜歡試著去想出"是誰做的"。我最喜歡的角色是阿嘉莎·克莉斯蒂偵探小說里的赫印里·白羅，那些小說我全都讀過了。

　　I read the book that the movie "The Deer Hunter" was based on， about the war in Vietnam， and it made a very deep impression on me.It was the first thing I'd ever read that made war seem real to me.It was quite a shock I guess what shocked me most was the tragedy of the fighting and the close friendship that it brought among the men. Fighting and friends  always seemed contradictory to me， and that book shows them as very closely related.It has given me a lot to think about.

　　我讀了電影《越戰(zhàn)獵鹿人》的原作，一本關(guān)于越戰(zhàn)的書，它給我非常深刻的印象。這是我第一次讀到讓我真正感受到戰(zhàn)爭的書，那令人震撼。我想，尤其令我震撼的是戰(zhàn)爭的悲劇和它帶給人們的親密友誼。戰(zhàn)爭和友情對我來說似乎總是矛盾的，而這本書顯示它們非常密切相關(guān)，它給我很多可以思考的東西。
