　　Part I：單詞與短語

　　arrive in到達(dá)，抵達(dá)；London倫敦；railway station火車站；the way to…到某個(gè)地方的路；porter n.搬運(yùn)工；carefully adv.仔細(xì)地；clearly adv.清楚地；understand vt.理解，明白；repeat vt.重復(fù)；several幾個(gè)；neither…nor…既不。。。也不。。。；foreigner n.外國人；smile v.微笑；wonder v.揣測，搞不懂，想知道；language n.語言

　　Part II：語法學(xué)習(xí)

　　1.…， so…句型；…， but…句型

　　so引導(dǎo)從句，表示的是某種結(jié)果，當(dāng)這種結(jié)果更為強(qiáng)烈時(shí)，則用therefore；but引導(dǎo)的也是從句，表示的是一種轉(zhuǎn)折關(guān)系；當(dāng)轉(zhuǎn)折關(guān)系更為強(qiáng)烈時(shí)，則用however。

　　示例1：I did not know the way to my hotel， so I asked a porter.

　　示例2：He answered me， but he spoke neither slowly nor clearly.

　　2.not only…but…as well句型

　　這個(gè)句型與not only…but also…含義相同，只是結(jié)構(gòu)上的差異而已，所以，請非凡注重它們的套用模式。

　　示例：I not only spoke English very carefully， but very clearly as well.

　　Part III：綜合練習(xí)

　　I arrived London， I the railway station was big， black and dark. I did not know the way my hotel， I asked a porter. I not only spoke English very carefully also very clearly. ， the porter could not understand me. I repeated my question several times at last he understood. He answered me; ， he spoke neither slowly clearly. I told him I was a foreigner then he spoke slowly， I could not understand him， my teacher never spoke English that. The porter and I looked at each other then he said something I understood it. He said I soon learn English. I wonder in England， each person a different language the English understand each other， I don’t understand them， do they speak English？
